The Roads We Travel

Image

Hello ladies and gents! I’m so sorry for the lack of posts the last couple of weeks. Between work and the holidays things have been a little crazy. So as a special thank you I am going to share with you all one of my aboslute favorite vintage stores. In the small town of West, TX there is a fantastic store off of highway 35 south called the Style Station. I have been going here for about 6 years and I have never found another place with such great vintage at affordable prices. One of my favorite new pieces from the Style Station is this fantastic oriental jacket from the 50s. I have been wearing it none stop. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers.

Ever since I was young and able to shop for myself I have loved wearing vintage. My mom kept a lot of her old clothes from the 80s and I used to raid her closet searching for pieces to wear, and it’s only gotten worse since. About 60% of my wardrobe is vintage. Unfortunately, since moving to the city it has been harder and harder to find fantastic pieces at reasonable prices. The city has a wonderful source of quality vintage pieces however it definitely comes at a premium. There are several shops that I go to, but a big resource for me has become ebay and etsy.  I recently purchased this dress off of one of my favorite ebay sellers. I love the colors and print of this piece and have worn it now on several occasions. What is your favorite place to find vintage online, in store, or at home? 😉

Have a wonderful weekend!

Stairway to Heaven

Like I mentioned in this post. One of my favorite styles of dress is mixing ultra feminine pieces with masculine accents. This outfit is a perfect example of this. I recently picked up this sweater from one of my favorite vintage shops in the city. I love the soft cozy texture and the fabulous grey color. And the lace up chunky boots have a masculine feel next to the sheer floaty dress. How would you describe your sense of style I would love to know?

Happy Monday!

To Fur or Not to Fur?

Image

I have an unhealthy obsession with vintage faux furs. My fiancé is always making fun of me for how many coats I have to his one. This pretty is one of my favorite ones to wear in the fall. It’s not so heavy as some of my other winter coats and the colors are just gorgeous. What is your stance on fur love it or hate it?

She Works Hard for the Money

Working freelance my days can be varied. Sometimes I’m working from home, others I’m on set, some days I’m running around the city on appointments. My favorite days however, are the days that I get to work out of an office. There is just something about office dressing that I love. You can wear heels with out worrying that they will get destroyed by the city streets and cute pencil skirts that I can’t wear while running around on set. Now I know that I have the privilege of working in office environments were creativity in dress is encourage and there are not as many dress code restrictions as in other offices but I wanted to share with you all one of my favorite office looks that could be worn in any work place. What is your favorite thing to wear at the office?

Happy Friday!
